Dr. Peppard is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and The Capital Area Dental Society. He is currently the Secretary Treasurer of the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, and holds a position as Delegate to both the National Academy of General Dentistry as well as the American Dental Association. He was formerly the Vice President, Southeast Division, of the Texas Dental Association, and Director of the Texas Academy of General Dentistry. He is currently a Board Member of the American Dental Association Political Action Committee.
In July 2009, Dr. Peppard was awarded Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), an organization considered the elite educational continuum in dentistry. In 2007, he was awarded a fellowship in the American College of Dentists. In 2006, he was awarded a fellowship in the International College of Dentists. Dr. Peppard has the honor of being nominated for The Academy of General Dentistry's "Texas Dentist of the Year", and just this year has receive the Texas Dental Association's 2010 "Presidential Award for Service to Organized Dentistry". Dr. Peppard has been listed for several years as one of Texas Monthly's "Super Dentists".
Dr. Peppard works with community outreach programs through the Texas Dental Association. These include Donated Dental Services, Give Kids a Smile and The Texas Missions of Mercy (TMOMS). Dr. Peppard is one of the original Coordinators and Board Members of the Austin Community College School of Dental Hygiene, and worked extensively with the St. David’s Healthcare Foundation in the development of their highly successful Theo Project. Dr. Peppard works diligently for the preservation of the high quality of care the profession of dentistry provides to our patients. He is extensively involved with the profession of dentistry educationally and legislatively, and is absolutely convinced that the success of today’s oral healthcare system is a tribute to the educational mandates of our Doctor’s of Dentistry.
